Christmas Dinner 21 Dec. 13

After dinner, some of us stayed to listen to Al and Penny.  Very good music, too bad we didn't have more people come to enjoy the entertainment.  Those that were here really had a nice show.

Marlys, one of our senior members in age and also park longevity, is looking good!  She'll be going to the Phoenix area to have another Christmas dinner with some family members there.

Not sure how many we had for dinner, but it was a large crowd. And there was PLENTY of food!

Pat and Patty from Washington just got to the park a couple days ago.  They found Lynda Vista on the internet,  Turned out they were from Longview, Washington, Ruth's home town, They knew a lot of the same people, and went to the same school.  Small world.

Strike up the band!  Bob arranged for some special music prior to eating.  Some teenagers from his church sang Christmas songs,

Gretchen, Anna and Mario.  Why does the smallest lady had the largest plate? :-)  I know, she must be taking some back to her husband, Dutch, who is under the weather today.

Even got Darrel with a smile.  This will be a good day!

The Birthday Girl!  Today is Val's Special Day.

We sure appreciate all the hard work Mario does to keep the park looking good and operating well.  Was nice to have his family join us today.

Mario's daughter, on the right, has been cleaning the clubhouse all season.  And a fine job she's doing. She brought a friend to dinner.  Was nice to see some young faces in with all us old folks.

More left overs..there was other tables with food left too.  No one left hungry.

Another fine Lynda Vista mean comes to an end.  Thanks to Bob and Linda, Ruth and Frank.  And all the people that helped, and brought food, and those that stayed to clean up.

December 19th in the park

DD & Pebbles arrive!  There are 2 beautiful motorcycles in the 12' garage in the back of the "Toy Hauler"

43.5 feet.  It's going in.

They have nice neighbors...By the Way, there's a story behind this sign.  You'll have to ask Bob or Linda Rolle what it's all about :-)

The rig is in for the next few months.  Pete and Jack were big helps in get it lined up.

These "Windy" guys are practicing for the Christmas party.  They are sounding good!

A lonesome motorhome.  Elston and Lois let it all alone while they returned to Utah for Christmas.  Can't understand why anyone would leave this weather to head for the cold and snow.   Wellll, maybe family has something to do with it. :-)

Friends and neighbors now!  This couple had to wait until Dave turned 55 to move in. They have been visiting us every year since we've been here.  This is the first time they arrived that it wasn't raining.

12 December

Dave, Myrna, Rene and Darrel.  We ran into them having a snack at Logan's Road house.  Cheer up Darrel, it'll get better!

Sherm, Marlys, Pat, Linda & Dale.  Ribs and salmon dinners.  Logan's is a fine place to eat!

Every year a church in Yuma has a Singing Christmas Tree.  Over 20,000 lights, and a full choir.  Always a nice evening.

It only got down to 58 degrees while we were out there, but we'd prepared for colder weather.

Jerry does a great job of organizing and hosting our Jams. Sings well too!

It's cooling off out side, but it's HOT inside Rolle's Lynda Vista Clubhouse!

Every other Wednesday night, Jerry hosts a JAM session

We have a few of our own musicians, and some from other parks join in

Everyone joins in, and the specials rotate.  Each singer or player gets one or two times up, depending on how many there are.

Jerry does a fine job of organizing, and keeping things moving.  No "dead air" time. :-)

Mostly guitars tonight, but you never know what kind of instruments will show up

Nice entertainment, and the coffee is good too!

Ruth couldn't find a fir tree for her office this year, so she came up with a rubber tree!

November 29, 2-13

Went to Yuma Nursery Supply to pick up our annual flower plants.  They have a lot of landscaping items and flowers out there.

Was hard to choose.  We picked up two of these bowls of beauty!
